Max Rendina ready for the fourth “mundial” challenge

After winning his third success in the FIA WRC-2 World Rally Championship at Rally Montecarlo, Mexico and Portugal, Max Rendina moves from Rome to South America for Rally Argentina,round five of the season, the wonderful Rally of Argentina. After the great performance of the three round in the Production Cup, with his Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution Gr. N equipped by Pirelli, Rendina, codrivered by Mario Pizzuti and in joint with Ralliart Italy, will be at the start of the event based in Villa Carlos Paz, this week-end. The Rally Argentina will be another classic race in the WRC calendar: it is well-known for its “lunar” like landscapes, soft, sandy gravel roads, spectacular “water splashes” and some of the most enthusiastic fans around the world – representing another new challenge for the Italian crew. After a great performance of the Rally de Portugal, Rendina is determined to make more experience and run a great Rally Argentina, in order to continue his leadership on provisional classification (75 points lead, in front of the other italian Linari and Alonso, third overall) . Max Rendina said: “Rally Argentina will represents another new challenge for us. For sure it’s another tough event with the weather being difficult to predict. Our objectives are concerned we are looking at building another positive performance to continue our leadership on Production Cup of WRC-2 standings.” Inside the marvellous mountains around Córdoba, the Rally of Argentina will be again based in Villa Carlos Paz. The race counts 14 hardest special stages – seven repeated twice and the entire itinerary measures 405.100 km of competitive distance. The rally will start on next Thursday 8 May with the Super Special Stage, however the true competition will get underway the following day with almost 158 km of stages covered, including the extremely long Ascochinga-Agua de Oro of 51.880 km. On Saturday, the race will move on the Calamuchita Valley and on Sunday the competitors will drive on the most iconic roads of the entire race: the Giulio Cesare – Mina Clavero and El Condor – Copina. “PRODUCTION CUP” WRC-2 PROVISIONAL STANDINGS: 1. Rendina 75; 2. Linari 45; 3. Alonso 18.
