After the great performance in Poland, the reigning "Production" World Champion, is third in the provisional standing and will try the lead...
With him, on the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution Group N "33" Pirelli equipped, will still be Emanuele Inglesi and the logo of the Esercito Italiano (national Army) will be on the sides of the car again, bringing up the italian three-colour.
One month after the performance offered in Poland, Max Rendina will be back behind the wheel this weekend for his fifth 2015 WRC experience. The reigning World Champion "production" will be at the start of the Rally Finland, the well-known as "1000 Lakes", classic event of the WRC, in which the roman driver will participate for the second time, after the 2014 unfortunate experience.
Alongside Rendina, on the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution Group N "33" prepared by Motorsport Italia and Pirelli equipped, will be Emanuele Inglesi again, the codrive who was also at his side in the previous race in Poland.
This eighth round of the 2015 WRC season is an important crossroad to possibly achieve the world title for the second time. The second place in Poland, has assured Rendina and Inglesi to get back on the provisional podium of the championship in third place with 55 points, behind the leader Linari (68 points) and the second, the French Foulon (58) despite some serious electrical problems affecting the power supply with which they had to deal throughout the competition.
Anyway, the Polish race has been an important experience to be better training for Finland, as the two countries have similar road surface (sand).
On the sides of the Lancer Evolution, there will still be the logo of the ESERCITO ITALIANO - Italian Army, an initiative launched in Poland, with whom Max Rendina and the whole team wanted to pay tribute to the Italian soldiers who defend and honour the Italian flag through the world, working for others and trying to promote the peace.
Max Rendina said: "This is my second experience in Finland, last year I had bad luck with a retreat for technical reasons when we were top rated. This year We will try to be the success. It will not be an easy race, the Finnish ways are fast and the sand is very difficult. With the team we have planned everything in detail, now it's up to us on the road along with the flag represented by the Italian Army. "
Rally Finland is flat out from start to finish, 20 stages on sand roads await the drivers alongside picturesque forests and lakes. The Rally Finland HQ will be in the university town of Jyväskylä, with Paviljonki hosting the service park. The race track will remain largely unchanged since its 2014 and will also see the return of the 34km Ouninpohja special stage.
